How we started.
Got Foods was founded by Ivars Orlovs and Michel Wettstein. Ivars, a food scientist, recognized the potential of developing plant-based dairy alternatives using pea protein. Michel, originally from Switzerland, brought his finance expertise to the partnership. Together, they created a range of dairy alternatives that closely mimic the taste, structure, and appearance of traditional dairy products.
Originally available in retail.
Initially, Got Foods’ product range was primarily available through retail chains in Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. However, in 2023, with the appointment of Kevin Van Lancker as interim CEO, the brand charted a new course. Given the intense competition in the retail space, Got Foods decided to focus on the food industry. Since then, Got Foods has appointed new distributors to handle quick and flexible orders from restaurants and food makers.
New Product Development
Starting in 2024, Got Foods will expand its range by developing more delicious plant-based dairy alternatives. These new products will continue to prioritize taste, texture, and appearance, ensuring they closely resemble traditional dairy. By leveraging advanced food science and innovative techniques, Got Foods aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable dairy substitutes, catering to consumers seeking healthier and eco-friendly options.
